Sound familiar?

The event is in Paris. The comms team is in London. The footage is nowhere.

European charities and international NGOs run programmes across a dozen countries and languages, and most of it never gets filmed properly.

×

A drive full of events nobody has cut

The fundraising run, the members' day, the conference. Filmed on a phone, and untouched.

×

Agency quotes that don't fit a charity budget

A three-person crew, a producer day, a creative development line, VAT. For one two-minute film.

×

Programmes in six countries, one comms lead

Every national office has a story. None of them has a videographer.

MB

“Yes, and we have noticed a very big difference in the quality of the stuff that we've been putting out, thanks to you guys.”

Megan Beneat-Donald, Search for Common Ground, Brussels

In their words

Charities and NGOs across Europe, in their own words.

Lions Clubs International needed members' stories from Paris, Skopje and Cornwall. Search for Common Ground needed its Brussels policy conference and a peacebuilding story in North Macedonia filmed. Here is what they told us.

Where we work

Where we work in Europe & the UK

This year we have filmed Lions clubs in Saltash and Truro, Cornwall, in a single day; the Helen Keller Run in Paris with a local videographer and photographer; a birdhouse build in Skopje's City Park with a Skopje studio; a peacebuilding story in Kërçova, North Macedonia; three days across Türkiye from Istanbul to the Syrian border for Baitulmaal; and a Brussels policy conference for Search for Common Ground. Our post-production team is based in Kosovo, so the Balkans are home turf.

Headquartered in London, Paris, Brussels, Berlin, Amsterdam, Pristina or Skopje? We work with organizations based in Europe and the UK the same way: a local crew we have vetted, our producer on the brief, our editors on the cut, and distribution through the Are You Happy? audience when the story fits.

Built for Europe

What every production in Europe includes

Edited on European time

A post team between Connecticut and Kosovo: review calls in your afternoon, revisions by your next morning.

Every language your offices need

French, German, Spanish, Albanian, Macedonian, English and more.

Releases and GDPR handled

Release forms in the subject's language, stored with the footage you own.

Vetted local crews

City by city, briefed by our producer the week before.

Planned around the local calendar

A local crew knows when the park empties and the city shuts.

You own the footage

You keep every finished file and all the raw footage.

Beyond video

What we film for charities and NGOs in Europe

One production day becomes a library: the hero film for the gala, the 45-second cut for the appeal email, a dozen verticals for the feed, a LinkedIn edit for corporate partners, and the two-minute piece your programme officer sends to the funder.

Field notes

Charity video production, country by country across Europe and the UK

Local crews, our producers, and a post team in the Balkans, so edits land inside your working day rather than the following morning.

Lions member loading food boxes in Cornwall
Field note

Video production in the UK: Cornwall

Saltash Tamar and Truro Lions clubs, filmed in a single day in the club store and the yard: a club revived in 2025 with 27 members, eight of them under 30, which was the whole reason the story was worth filming. Ten finished pieces in the approved vertical split-screen format, interview on top, b-roll beneath, delivered as one batch.

Runners at the Helen Keller Run in Paris
Field note

Video production in France: Paris

The Helen Keller Foundation charity run in the 9th arrondissement, two half-days at the end of May 2026, with a Paris videographer and photographer. About three thousand runners across the 10k, 5k and kids' races. The schedule was rebuilt around the Champions League final that Saturday evening, because a local crew knew the park would empty at five o'clock and an imported one would not have. Fifteen interviews, b-roll and edited photography.

Hand-painted birdhouse in Skopje City Park
Field note

Video production in North Macedonia: Skopje and Kërçova

Skopje City Park in June 2026 with a Skopje studio: a two-hour build day, fifteen birdhouses, roughly thirty volunteers, and interviews in Macedonian, Albanian, Turkish and English depending on what each person preferred. Guardian-signed releases for minors, taken digitally on a phone on the day, and no alcohol in frame despite the open bar afterwards. Eight finished videos. Separately, a peacebuilding case study filmed in Kërçova in March 2026 for Search for Common Ground, delivered vertical and 16:9 with French audio and English-subtitled versions.

Printed cards at a peacebuilding conference in Brussels
Field note

Video production in Belgium: Brussels

Search for Common Ground's Brussels policy conference on 15 September 2026: the EU quarter outside the Berlaymont, the conference floor and interviews with speakers.

Field note

Video production in Türkiye: Istanbul, Şanlıurfa and the Syrian border

February 2026 for Baitulmaal, three days on two cameras plus stills: a sewing workshop and voucher distribution in Istanbul, a Quran ceremony in Şanlıurfa, then food distribution, home visits and an orphanage in Akçakale and Nizip near the Syrian border. Lions Clubs International stories have also been filmed in Türkiye by our creator network.

Field note

Video production in Albania

For the Happy People Foundation's first campaign we filmed at a special-needs school in Albania, and the campaign paid for the school's accessible bus.

Field note

A European post-production team, based in Kosovo

Around thirty people work across production and post between Connecticut and Kosovo. For a UK or EU charity that means review calls in your afternoon and revisions by your next morning, rather than the transatlantic day of silence that makes agencies feel slow. In Kosovo itself we have filmed youth development and community stories for Lions Clubs International.

Field note

Also across Europe

Our crew network reaches Ireland, the Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Poland, Czechia, Romania, Greece and the Nordics. For The Climate Reality Project our creators covered its event in Rome. Filming in Germany taught us two practical things worth passing on: drone permission is rarely quick, and street-interview formats work badly because people decline on camera, so we plan around both.

Questions

Questions we get about filming in Europe and the UK

Tap a question. Each answer comes with a 20-second video.

Is the free session really free?+

Yes. The Zoom session and the three videos our editors cut from it cost nothing. No contract, no card, and you keep every file with no obligation to buy anything afterwards. Book your free session and see your story on screen.

Book my free session →
What happens on the free session?+

You pick one person close to your work, and our producer interviews them live over Zoom for forty-five minutes while we record. Our editors then turn that conversation into three finished, captioned videos for your website, your social channels and your next appeal. All you have to do is show up, so book your free session.

Book my free session →
Do you fly a crew in, or hire locally?+

Usually not. We hire vetted local crews from our network of more than 20,000 creators in over 130 countries, and our producer directs them live on the day. Your story is filmed by people who know the language and the place, and your free session is where we plan it.

Book my free session →
Can you make versions for each national office?+

Yes. Interviews run in whatever language the speaker is most comfortable in, and every video ships with subtitles plus any second language you need, from Spanish and French to Swahili, Arabic and Haitian Creole. Tell us your audiences on your free session and we'll plan every version.

Book my free session →
How do you protect the people on camera?+

Every shoot is planned around consent and dignity. People sign releases in their own language, we never show minors' names or identifying details, and anyone sharing something sensitive reviews it before it goes live. Your safeguarding policy always overrides ours, starting with your free session.

Book my free session →
How long until we get the videos?+

Your three free videos land in your inbox within two weeks of your session, with a simple review link if you want a change. For bigger shoots, we plan backwards from your gala, board meeting or appeal date. Tell us the date on your free session.

Book my free session →
Who can we put on camera (staff, a beneficiary, a grantee overseas)?+

Anyone whose story moves people: your director, a program lead, a volunteer, someone your program served, or a grantee overseas joining from a phone. Our producer guides every answer, so nobody needs camera experience or a script. Bring your people to a free session and we'll handle the rest.

Book my free session →
We're based in Europe or the UK. Can you work with us?+

Yes. NGOs and foundations from Nairobi to Manila to Bogotá work with us the same way: a local crew, our producer and our editors, with review calls set in your working hours. Your free session runs on Zoom, wherever you are.

Book my free session →
Can you use footage our teams already shot?+

Yes. Send us the link, whether it's a hard drive from the field, a shared folder or years of workshop recordings, and we'll cut it into new videos. Pair it with fresh interviews from your free session and your archive finally works for you.

Book my free session →
Who owns the videos?+

You do. Your organization owns the finished videos and all of the raw footage, including everything we record on your free session. Use them on any channel, in any report, for as long as you like.
