The Human Rights Foundation is a non-profit organization that promotes and protects human rights globally, with a focus on closed societies. Through initiatives like the Art in Protest program and Flash Drives for Freedom, HRF empowers artists and disseminates critical information to challenge authoritarian regimes.

HRF aimed to amplify the voices of artists and activists who use their work to protest against authoritarianism. The organization sought to highlight the impact of the Art in Protest program and the Flash Drives for Freedom initiative, raising awareness and support for these efforts.

We worked with HRF to produce a series of compelling videos across five cities: Washington, D.C., Miami, New York City, Seoul, and Nashville. We documented the stories of artists involved in the Art in Protest program, showcasing their creative resistance against oppressive regimes. Additionally, we highlighted the Flash Drives for Freedom initiative, which collects and smuggles USB drives loaded with outside information into North Korea, breaking the regime’s information blockade.

The campaign successfully elevated the narratives of dissident artists and activists, generating widespread engagement across social media platforms. By bringing attention to HRF’s programs, we successfully increased support and participation in initiatives like Flash Drives for Freedom, which has reached approximately 1 million North Koreans with external information. This collaboration reinforced HRF’s mission to promote human rights and freedom worldwide
