Free first session and first video for nonprofits, foundations and NGOs

No footage? No problem.

We record your staff and beneficiaries over video call, direct the session ourselves, and cut it into short videos. No shoot day. No crew. No travel. Every ED, comms lead and development director we talk to has stories worth telling and no way to film them. Book a time below and a real editor gets started on your first video. Your first session and first video are free. No contract. No credit card.

Some of the organizations that trust us with their stories

Sound familiar?

Every organization we talk to has the same stories: the person whose life your program changed, the volunteer who has shown up every week for nine years, the program officer who explains the work better than your website does. The stories aren't the problem. You have more of those than you can use. The problem is that nobody has ever pointed a camera at them.

No footage to work with at all

The story your director tells at every board meeting. The person you serve whose thank-you would move any donor. The staff member who can explain your whole model in two minutes. All of it lives in people's heads and none of it is on camera.

No budget for a production

Nobody on your team has a free afternoon, let alone the weeks it takes to scope a shoot, hire a crew and get everyone in the same room on the same day.

No time to organize a shoot day

Your comms person is also your grant writer, your event planner and, on Tuesdays, your IT department. Making video is the thing that always slides to next quarter.

Another quarter with no video (again)

So the year-end appeal goes out with a stock photo and three paragraphs of text. The impact report becomes a PDF. The stories stay in people's heads. And next year you have the same conversation all over again.

Here's the uncomfortable math. A produced video runs $5,000 to $15,000 once you count crew, travel and a shoot day, so it gets booked once a year or not at all. That's not a storytelling problem. That's an access problem. And it's the one thing we fix.

Fix it free: book my first session
Takes 60 seconds. First video is free.

There's a better way.

You don't need a crew or a shoot day. You need someone to get your people on a video call, ask the right questions, record it properly and cut it into content your donors will actually stop for. That's the entire service. Here's how it works.

1

Book the call

Pick a time and tell us who should be on it: a staff member, a volunteer, someone you serve. We send simple setup instructions beforehand. A laptop or a phone is all anyone needs.

2

We direct and record. Free.

We run the session, ask the questions and record it on our end in post-ready quality. Then a real editor cuts it into a finished video and sends it back. No invoice. No card on file. You see exactly what one session produces before you decide anything.

3

Love it? We keep going.

For $995 a month you get unlimited edit requests from everything we record: social clips, donor videos, impact stories, testimonials. As many as your team can post.

Step 1 takes a minute. We'll walk you through the rest on a quick call.

One session. A year of content.

A single 40-minute conversation can become a sustainer thank-you, three Reels, a newsletter clip, an impact-report segment and a recruiting video. Here's what we typically pull out of one recorded session:

Short social clips (Reels, TikTok, Shorts)
Year-end appeal and campaign videos
Donor and sustainer thank-yous
Impact report videos
Program and staff explainers
Testimonial and story videos
Volunteer and staff recruitment
Grant report and board clips
Captioned, resized versions for every platform
73%
of U.S. recurring donors say video is the biggest reason they keep giving. Your staff and the people you serve are the raw material for the one thing that keeps sustainers giving.

We've done this for orgs you know.

Since Are You Happy hit a million followers and raised $60,000 for a special-needs school bus, we've been cutting stories for nonprofits, foundations and NGOs. A few numbers from that work:

Your first session and video, free

That's less than a part-time editor, for a team that has told stories for the nonprofits on this page.

Here's the deal.

Book a video call. We'll direct the session, record it and edit your first video, free, so you can see exactly what one hour produces before you spend a dollar. If you don't love it, you owe us nothing. If you do, we keep going. Either way, you'll finally have your people on camera.

This is for you if...

Yes, this is you
You're a nonprofit, foundation or NGO with staff, volunteers and people you serve who have never been in front of a camera
Your comms team is one person, or the development director's spare time
You need content for social, donor emails, impact reports, grant reports and the year-end appeal every month, not once a year
You'd rather post ten real stories than one polished video nobody sees
Probably not for you
You already have hours of unused footage (ask us about editing that instead)
You want one video, then silence until next year's gala
You're shopping for the cheapest freelancer on a gig site
You'd rather wait until there's budget for a full production shoot

Questions we get every week

Is the first session really free?

Yes. One session we direct and record, and one finished, post-ready video cut from it. No invoice, no card on file, no fine print. It's how we show you what a session can do instead of telling you.

What gear do we need?

A laptop or a phone, a quiet room and decent light. We send setup instructions beforehand and record on our end in post-ready quality. You don't buy or install anything.

What if we've never been on camera?

That's most people. We direct the session and ask the questions, so nobody has to perform or memorize a script. We'll walk you through it on your call.

What can we ask for after the free video?

Any edit from what we record: social clips, donor videos, impact-report segments, testimonials, captions, and resized versions for every platform. Send requests as you need them and we work through them continuously.

What if our internet or our office is rough?

Book it anyway. We test the setup before we start and work with the room, the light and the connection you have.

Who owns the finished videos?

You do. It's your people and your story. Post it, send it to donors, drop it in the annual report.

Do we have to sign a long contract?

No. It's $995 a month for as long as it's working for you, and the first session and video cost nothing.

The stories aren't going to film themselves.

Every month you wait, another appeal goes out without a face in it, another report goes out as a PDF, and your donors keep scrolling past someone else's story. Book a call this week. We'll direct the session and send back your first video, free.

No contract. No credit card. One finished video from your first session.

P.S. The staff member with the best story on your team may not be there next year. The volunteer everyone quotes will move on. The best time to record your people was last year. The second-best time is this week.
